4th of July

On the 4th of July, we had a good time with family! We had red, white, and blue strawberries that someone had posted on Facebook. Rilian LOVED them!
When it got a little darker outside, it was time for sparklers! Finn had such concentration in this shot!
 So did Rilian...

Seven must have been mesmerized or something by the sparklers because it took him quite awhile to move from the spot in which he is standing.
Piper held on to the sparkler a little too long...Don't worry, she was fine.

The kids discovered that if you put each of their sparklers together, it is really bright!
Granny found this neat idea and the kids really enjoyed it. I don't remember the exact formula, but it is dish soap. You cut off the end of a water bottle and place a thin cloth on the end then wrap a rubber band around it. Next you place this into the special formula that includes dish soap and then blow!
We also watched fireworks, but I didn't take any pictures of them. I'm sure they were just as beautiful and awesome as the ones you watched!
