West Texas Fair and Rodeo Parade

I thought I was pretty well caught up on my posting, but then life took off and I find myself a month or so behind again...

So...last month, The West Texas Fair and Rodeo Parade was downtown. Our kids enjoy watching parades. Here are Rilian and Seven sitting on the street waiting patiently for the parade to start.

Finn and Piper sitting on the street waiting patiently for the parade to start...

What exactly is the West Texas Fair and Rodeo Parade? Well, it consists of horses (LOTS of horses. I didn't take a picture of all of them)...
 Clydesdales pulling a Coors wagon...
Marching bands...Rilian LOVES music! He actually started clapping his hands AS SOON AS he heard the marching band! He couldn't see the band yet, but he could definitely hear it!
And he continued to clap as the band marched on by...
A John Deere tractor...
 An Army jeep...
A miniature horse...the kids thought it was so cute!
Rilian just couldn't contain his love of music!
Jeremy used Seven, Rilian, and Finn as a drum as the marching band was nearing...
The parade had alot more entries. I only took pictures of the highlights. It is the longest parade ever! Or at least that's what I call it. It is at least an hour long, if not longer!

Helping Daddy

Jeremy was replacing the faucet on his parent's kitchen sink. Seven decided he was going to help...
 Swinging the wrench...
Getting the new faucet out of the box...
Seven is a really hard worker and a good helper. When he goes to Nanny and Papa Bud's house, he really likes to help Papa Bud do yard work!

One Handed Push-Up

Finn is awesome! He may look like a stick figure, but he is really strong! I happened to catch him doing this one day...
There was no prompting, he was just doing it. Way to go Finn!

How Do YOU Walk Through Target?

Rilian hops and skips more than he walks. It is so cute! One day we were in Target and Jeremy captured it on video.
This is not an isolated incident. Pretty much every day you can catch Rilian hopping and skipping instead of walking!

First Day of School

Rilian started preschool this year. He goes to school Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. His teachers are Mrs. Dow and Mrs. McCorkle.
He sat at his spot and colored while we listened to his teachers tell us about the school year.
On the first day of school, he was not in a very good mood. I don't think he was quite awake yet when I tried to take his picture right before we left for school.
But Daddy got him to smile!
Rilian had noticed these animals when we had "Meet the Teacher". So, he was more than ready to play with them on the first day of school while waiting for the other students to get there.

Seven is in First grade this year. His teacher is Mrs. Hudson.
Do you see a theme with his shirt and backpack? This was the first day of school.
Finn is in Third grade this year and his teacher is Mrs. Ballard. Piper had her as a teacher last year and we really liked her. Seven photo bombed the picture :)
Finn's first day of Third grade...
Piper is in Fourth grade this year. Her teacher is Mr. Farr.
Piper all ready for her first day of Fourth grade!

Seven Lost His First Tooth!

On the same day that the kids were Pikmin, Seven's first tooth came out! It had been loose for awhile and he was SO excited to finally lose his first tooth!
What a great milestone for my 1st grader!
