Book Review: Expresso For Your Spirit

Espresso for your Spirit, Hope and Humor for Pooped Out Parents, by Pam Vredevelt, was a good read. This book includes several stories from Pam's life about raising her children. Pam tells stories about good times and bad times. While reading Pam's stories, you realize you aren't the only one going through what you are going through. Parenting isn't always easy.

Each chapter ends with a page of either an encouraging word, a scripture, or a funny short story to make you laugh. This is a book that you could read whenever you have time. Most chapters are short, so that you can get a small "pick me up" as you go about your busy day. This book does not offer to solve your problems. It was written to provide encouragement for parents who need it, which is every parent at one point or another.

I would recommend this book to anyone who is a parent and are busy like I am. I have four young children. Even if you only have one child or are pregnant with your first and haven't quite experienced parenthood yet, this would be a good encouraging book to read. Always remember, you are not alone and someone has been through exactly what you are going through as a parent right now.

I received this ebook from Waterbrook Multnumah for free. I was in no way asked to write a positive review. The opinions expressed are my own.
