As you can tell, I am still behind on my posting. I was doing good at catching up and then life happened and I fell behind again. But better late than never, right?
We always get a real Christmas tree. This year, we also have a cat, named Mingus. I wasn't sure how it would work with having a real tree. Cats like to climb tree, you know. Mingus was really curious about the tree at first. He is an indoor cat, so he hasn't had very much experience with real trees.
He swatted at the branches. He chewed on the lower branches that Jeremy trimmed off.
He climbed the tree...alot!
And he calmly laid below the tree.
I was ok with him climbing the tree, until we put ornaments on it. How did I keep him out of the tree you ask? A water spray bottle. Needless to say, he wasn't too fond of that and he learned to stay out of the tree and leave the ornaments alone.
After we gave the tree branches time to fall and settle into place, we started decorating.
Finn decided to chill on the couch with Tymbre for a bit during the Christmas decorating.
After the Christmas tree was decorated, it was time for a picture by the tree.
Of course, you have to have a silly picture!
The Christmas tree was all decorated and the stockings were hung.
On Christmas Eve, Seven put some reindeer food out in the front yard so they could find our house more easily.
We set out milk and cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.
I took a picture of the Christmas tree after Santa came and before the kids got to the presents.
Before we opened presents, Seven wanted to see if the reindeer ate the food he put out for them.
Then it was time to open presents!
Rilian got a big boy car seat! Santa brought him a booster seat.
Santa brought Tymbre this pink ball. Mingus got toys too, but he was a little camera shy that morning.
We got snow!!!
I know, it's not very much. But when it only snows about once a year, just a little bit is very exciting!
Family came into town at different times during the Christmas break. My Uncle Mike came to visit from Ohio. Can you tell my kids weren't in a picture taking mood?
My dad came to visit.
Jeremy's two brothers came with their kids. In this picture are Jeremy's nephews (Christopher, Andrew, and Benjamin) from near Houston and the oldest one's daughter (Jadie), along with my kids.
More cousins...My kids and Jeremy's brother's son (Logan) and daughter (Kalan) that live in Indiana. Plus, Benjamin.
Piper is 8 years old and on the small side of the scale. Christopher is 11 years old and on the tall side of the scale. We thought it humorous the difference in height.
Jeremy's parents have 9 grandchildren. Of those 9, only 2 are girls. So, we had to take a picture of just the girls.
Even though January is nearing the end, I still hope you had a Merry Christmas!
