Christmas 2013

It may seem like I am posting these out of order, but a lot happened between decorating our Christmas tree and Christmas morning. So, here we go...

Setting out cookies for Santa and carrots for his reindeer...
Santa came! This was before the kids saw it...

We open our stockings before we go to the tree...

So as to hopefully not bore you, I've just posted a few highlights of Christmas morning...Piper loves animal print!
Rilian in his pile of presents...
The kids usually get calendars for Christmas. They enjoy marking off the day at the end of the day...Seven got a Lego calendar!
And a new hat...
Finn's Beyblade stadium was in some sad shape, so he got a new one.
Rilian wearing his new hat and holding his new bicycle helmet...
Finn has been wanting a bow and arrows for quite some time now. He finally got them for Christmas!
Piper got a new desk. She has been asking for one for awhile. This desk's top can flip up and be an easel also, which Piper has also been asking for. She loves to draw! Can you tell she was excited about it?
After all the presents were open, the kids thought they were done. Then I noticed a note on the tree...
Santa was sitting by our fireplace. This Santa is very old. In fact, he was around when I was a child. Do you see clue #2 under his beard?
The kids flipped up Santa's beard and read clue #2.
It took them awhile to figure out where to go for clue #3. They were trying to rhyme with the wrong word. But when they did figure it out, they had to figure out which shoe clue #3 was in.
There are alot of days when it looks like our house threw up shoes. With six people in our family, that means there are a lot of shoes in our house! Usually the shoes accumulate by the back door. This day, there were several shoes by our back door. Lucky them, huh?
Clue #4 was under our kitchen sink...
Then they headed out back to see what their gift was...
Santa left a note on the stairs to the trampoline...If you can't read it, it says, "Merry Christmas!" From: Santa. Thanks for taking such good care of Jingle Bells."
Our pets also get presents for Christmas. Fluffy got a bird bath, which he really likes! It is the yellow thing attached to his cage.
Tymbre got some Christmas treats. The picture is blurry because she was really enjoying her treat!
Mingus is still waiting on his gift...Jeremy is going to make him a cat hotel/scratching post. But he's been a little busy and it hasn't gotten built yet. Mingus doesn't seem to mind, though.

Piper was proud of her new outfit...she asked for pink pants and black boots. The shirt came with her pants.
All the kids got new hats...
More enjoying of their new trampoline...

Finn took his bow and arrows outside to shoot them...

Jeremy's brother and family from Indiana came to visit, also. From left to right we have Rilian being held by Kalan (our neice), Piper, me, Jeremy, Finn, Granny (Jeremy's mom), Seven, Dadabe (Jeremy's dad), Logan (our nephew), Myka (sister-in law), and Jamie (Jeremy's oldest brother).
And that was our Christmas!
